I practice with Lumenoks on mine while shooting dull blades on my Muzzy’s. The arrows don’t go in my quiver unless they fly perfect. Out of probably 20 lighted nocks over the years I only found one that didn’t fly right.

Ive never shot Lumenok brand, mostly nocturnals.

I shot Nocturnals for many years but recently switched due to changes made in manufacturing. They didn’t fit as well in my arrow shafts and a few even failed to turn on.

I can not think of much for a downside for illuminated nocks. I use Nockturnals, and the only issue I have had is with the switch. Once or more used Nocktunals do not stay off sometimes. I have opened my bow case to find one or more nocks on, or would get to the field and hang my quiver only to see one of them on. Now, once used Nockturnals are downgraded to my practice arrows. I have never had another issue with them. The fit is tight but good, some tighter than others but all come out with some twisting.

To operate the switch, I have tried both the old version and the new one made by Nockturnal, a knife, and a field point. The switch does get very chewed up on my practice arrows where I shoot them at relatively short distances and operate the switch frequently, less so with one of their tools made for this purpose.

I have never used them but I’m not totally against them either. Just seems like if I ever made a bad shot, it’s just one extra thing that makes the lost arrow more expensive. Both deer I’ve shot have been total pass throughs so I haven’t had to worry about it.
Also one thing that makes recovering the arrow that much easier.

*especially* if hunting by permission on a small parcel where you don't want to leave sharps in the field. Or if that total pass through is a bit back and you need to find/check/sniff the arrow to get more feedback on how far.

They help you know your hit as well as possible, and find your arrows after shooting them.

Has anyone else had trouble with the Luminoks turning themselves on in the rain? My Luminoks/Full Metal Jacket combinations always turn themselves on when they get wet. Is there a solution I'm missing?

I have used nockturnal, illuminock, and glory knock. All have been garbage.
