I'm about to spend a few bucks.

Thanks for all the advice!
Yes - there's a local bow shop that's run by some great guys and I'm going to test drive a few models tomorrow. Mathews is definitely on the list - my old neighbor was actually a sponsored shooter for them years ago and I got to shoot some of his gear. Buddy has an Elite - I like it, and it seems to be real quality. I got my recurve out and strung it up, pulled it a few times (it's 50#) no problem, so I think a 60# compound should work.

When I get done I'll post pics of what I get and how it works.

I was looking at getting an Elite, but I shot a Mathews, Hoyt and Elite. The Hoyt Alpha called my name. WB rest, Scott release. Five pin sights, Easton arrows. 55# draw weight, I've shot it three days in a row with no issues, other than I need to practice.

Really impressed with the bow, and the guys at Archery Outpost in Tulsa are super nice and knowledgeable. They were out of the high-capacity quivers, so I'll get one of those as soon as they arrive. (I heard California had a high-capacity ban, but here in Oklahoma anything goes)

Did you end up with an Alpha X? Or a VTM? Just curious if you shot the '24 bows or '23
