I’m at the point in my life where I prefer quality over quantity. Lately my gotos are 2 Ginger’s and Sextons. My favorite is 2 Gingers, it has a slight honey/vanilla finish and isn’t overly harsh on the peet/smoke flavor which I don’t mind but my heartburn does. What’s everyone’s goto?

My cousin brings Middelton Very Rare to our annual family fishing vacation and we all enjoy it.

For sentimental reasons I often have Paddy on hand, and for the price, it's fine enough.

For a not cheap but not expensive option, writers tear's was pretty good. I liked Sextons, plus the bottle was just cool. Also, Jameson Black Barrel is pretty good too with a unique charred flavor.

Mmmmm…. Midleton Very Rare is hands down, the best whisky I’ve ever tasted.

Now that I’ve found the right lady, there may finally be a wedding in my future. I don’t know where we’ll do it, or what month, or what’s on the menu or what we’ll wear, but I do know that the wedding party will be sharing a bottle of Midleton’s.

Congrats!

If you ever happen to make it to Cork, Ireland, New Midleton Distillery produces many of these Irish whiskies, including Redbreast, Green Spot, Powers, Midleton, Jameson, and Paddy, at their two facilities (one for single pot and one for blended whiskey).

My go-to is 2 Gingers as well. Every now and again I mix it (heresy to mix good booze, I know, I know) with ginger ale for a "Big Ginger". Garnish with a lime wedge.
