Yes it's good. If you're ever unsure try it at ground level first.

Thanks everyone!! I have been using it and obviously tried it multiple times at ground level...but things were slow today in the woods and I found myself staring at it and my scientific physics loving brain started asking questions.

For cost reasons, I decided to try it on my linesman's belt first. I found that I do not adjust my tether often enough to justify it the cost. On the linesman's belt, it is the absolute bomb!

Do you mean tether? Most of us are pretty constantly adjusting the lineman's.

no I mean my lineman’s belt when I am setting sticks platform etc. I rarely adjust it at all if ever. I strap it on and get up the tree. I’m not worried about leaning far back as I go up and don’t wanna be all tight crowded to the tree. I just keep a happy medium and never touch it as long as I’m not leaning wayyy back. If I want more/less lean I raise or lower my rope around the tree. Never had an issue with it.

To each their own, but I'm like the rest I have to adjust a few times going up and when its time to reach around the tree to grab gear hanger or other things I pull myself closer with one hand, easy peasy!
