New saddle user, have been using rock climbing harness with loc-ons for a few years and never had a problem leaning out from the stand to get a shot off and staying steady on the shot.

Only my second day of shooting out of a modified Sit/Drag with a 6 Ameristep strap as a platform and surprised that I all over the target while aiming for the shot. Doesn't matter if from my Strong or Weak side. No issues with bending at the waist, I find it is more natural out of a saddle than it was to learn out of a loc-on to bend at the waist.
I am a firm believer in first arrow is most important but shooting groups due to being up a tree in a saddle. My groups have gone from 1" or less per 10 yards. to pie plate at 20 and dinner plate at 30 yards. I have tried shooting with knees against tree and leaning and it's about the same from each.

I am sure with more I practice the better I will get, just looking for pointers or links to other threads I should check out about this subject.

Also, I have a predator platform on order, do most people that have used a platform and ring of steps think they are more stable with the platform?

Thanks man. Practiced over the last month and setup is now better. Killed a deer on offside on my first hunt of the year and first in a saddle without any issues.
