Didn’t feel like an all day project so I didn’t do meatballs. Onions, garlic, ground meat and tomato sauce for a quicker version.
Homemade Italian sausage from my grandpa’s recipe which came from his grandparents that came here from Italy. We call it Lanie Sausage. Been trying to find out where the name came from but can’t find it any where. Kin folks said my great great grandma called it that when she came over. They think she was trying to say anise sausage in English but sounded like Lanie Sausage with her accent so that’s what we always called it.
