It's just...a little crush... - Review of the JX3 Hybrid Saddle

It will work as a backpack. I carried my turkey calls during the season and my water. I also try to wear cargo pants so I can put stuff in the pockets. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.

I sprung for the primos bowhunters vest a few weeks ago. Really about the only thing I need to figure out is hydration. I’ve got a sustainment pouch I may try to rig up to the frame and drop a 2 liter bladder in.

I plan to use a traditional saddle and a JX3. I don't want to have to transition my stuff from my backpack to the JX3 and back depending on what I'm using. I'm hoping I can just somehow clip my regular backpack to the JX3. Has anyone done that?

I havent done it but you definitely can, either strap it the back using the leg straps or put it between the seat and back rest.

Has anybody strapped a weapon to the jx3?
You could be the first. I’m going to play with a rifle carrier on mine but will probably hand carry my bow. I want either weapon in my hands or easily accessible if the sun is shining.

I have in turkey season
Vertical between the seat and frame tied to the top whale tail
It was a shot gun
And horizontal between the seat and frame but it sticks out a lot.

I love my Primos bowhunters vest. It was definitely worth the investment!

It will fit in between the bottom and top section while you walk.

Well @kyler1945 I spent a couple hours mowing the roads on the south side of my lease this afternoon. This side of the road got a second thinning last August. Man I can’t believe how much this place has grown up. There will be 50 acres for f bedding by the time season gets here.

Oh yeah also had a box from John when I got home this afternoon. Got to hang it for about 30 minutes this evening. I haven’t even adjusted anything. If this is going to be a keeper I’ve got to make it work without a backpack.
I’m definitely going to have to adjust a few things. But it was super comfy straight out of the box.

I have a small daypack that sandwiches nicely in between the seat and the backrest when carrying. I will throw the daypack on my back while climbing so I only need one pull rope for my bow or gun. Works like a charm.

You can put a backpack between the seat and frame easily. Or a duffle bag. Or stuff sack. Anything that fits will work fine. It’s got plenty of places to build some permanent attachments or rig stuff temporarily. I suspect John will be coming out with some options for stuff like this. But even if not, if you’re remotely handy, you can set it up.

I have a small cheap Allen pack that I’ve put all my crap in a few times and stuffed in there.

I eyeballed this little kids pack in academy the other weekend. It would be big enough to hold rain gear or anything extra I might need that the bow hunters vest can’t carry. On my presets I don’t like to touch the ground. Just get there and climb up so taking the hybrid off to get a pack out is something I don’t want to do. There are so many options with the hybrid that you could do almost anything with it. John is working on a lot of options.

I did a climb this morning on a larger tree. Larger trees are a little harder but they are doable.

Sorry the photos are dark. As far as the video goes I have found if you climb up to the second set of steps and push the tether above your head you can swing to the right and sit comfortable while you move the stick up. It is just as easy on the way down.
