IWOM owners

I have the Iwom xt, not the stalker model, and I have not used it much, but if I can answer any questions or help I will.

Wondering if I order if I should get the Stalker or the one where you can enclose feet (XT).
On the Stalker, can you draw it nice and tight, if wearing as a parka or when pulled down to boot level? Otherwise would think cold air would just fill it up with cold air.
Guess could get the XT full version and take it to a tailor and have them install a zipper all the way around so it is removeable, course there goes the warranty. If your Stalking about with the full enclosed model, is the bottom feet part a pain (assume it just hangs down).
Wish they had the predator fall brown, keep wondering how the fall grey will be with no snow, hunting at ground level, not in a tree, there is a lot of bright white in it.
And I guess my biggest concern would be how is it for bow hunting.

I have the XT model and love it. So much nicer than layering like a maniac. Saturday it was 7 degrees here and I walked in with my thermals. Once in stand I was fine till I left at 10AM and could have stayed longer

Have and love the XT. Can't really use it in a saddle. The feet covering is a big part of the benefit in my opinion, that's what let's me stay out longer. It's almost always my toes that make me call it quits. I assume you are considering the stalker to use in a saddle? If not, I would definitely go with one that covers your feet.

Actually think some guys use with a saddle (I would want to also). As I understand there are small slits on the sides that a rope could pass through. Would have to wear the saddle inside the IWOM. Maybe I misunderstood.

I wear my Iwom XT in my climber with a rock climbing harness.
I would think one could also saddle with it too.

You can wear it in parka mode if you want to walk around. That's about the only option when moving other than fanny pack mode. I wish, and maybe will do this someday, but i wish there was a way to keep the foot section tucked up into the iwom for walking in "Extended parka mode" aka "trench coat mode" ..i made that up, but that would be nice!

So it just hang down then? Kind of swinging if walking at a normal pace not stalking?
That's kind of why I was asking about the Stalker version.

between the price difference I would buy the XT and have someone sew a few straps on it to make it into the stalker version before I bought that version....That way you have the best of both worlds. The XT is indispensable to keep my feet warm late season when it dips below 30 for a high. Granted I use it in my ladder stands and climber but I worry less about the "perfect tree" when I have a gun in my hand and can reach out a touch farther

Here is what I do, I have the xt model, I go in super light dressed, tie paracord to the iwom at the base of the tree, make one trip up like always with my mission platform and mini sticks, once I am all settled in I pull up the Iwom and crawl in, and then try not to fall asleep, I am sure some people can but the mission is probably the smallest platform I would feel comfortable in with my iwom, saddle goes on the inside of it, I leave a second bridge with biners on each end in the pocket of the iwom, once its on I just fish a biner through each slit on the iwom, theres a perfect spot already there for this, and im done, this way I am always tied in while taking it off or putting it on, kind of confusing to explain maybe but it works good and I didn’t have to do any mods to the Iwom. I have never bow hunted out of it, it’s too warm here that time of year. I haven’t used it much but can tell you it’s staying here, it’s a beast for cold weather hunting and I wouldn’t be without one. My biggest problem is staying awake in it, I fell asleep this year in a blizzard and woke up with half my stuff I leave on the ground buried in snow with a 2 hr walk out, that wasn’t fun.

I know they run sales quite often too, I bought mine around the same time as the Harrisburg PA show and they gave me show special price even though I ordered it online, the office help there is very responsive and super nice.

Yeah, that seems like it would work. I'm a JX-3 guy so it would be like putting a lawn chair in it! lol

I bought one this year and prefer bibs and a parka so I bought a used Sanctuary set. It was super warm but I didn't like the limited mobility with the feet portion zipped. I'll probably sell the IWOM.

Hunted with the IWOM XT for a few years. Liked it, but hated it also. Too bulky...and a pain in the ass to get your feet/boots zipped up inside it once on stand.

Was it warmer as equal to the Sanctuary? Sent me a PM on the size, etc. if you are looking to sell.
IMO it's a difficult comparison between because they are so different. The BIG benefit of the IWOM is that your boots and legs and body are in a warm sleeping bag. I have poor circulation in my feet and hands that I notice especially when its 0-20 degrees. I was never cold in the IWOM. Stayed nice and toasty all day. In the Sanctuary set my legs and upper body are warm, it's my dang feet that keep getting cold. I need to go back to the toe warmers.

I've been a long time lurker on this site, which BTW is amazing. So much information to dig through. I've been a ladder stand/box blind private land gun deer hunter for many years and just got into the public land bowhunting scene in the past year. I've been using a climber and working on buying gear for saddle hunting to give that a try. I'm impressed with the guys that are using the IWOM in the saddle. I didn't think it would be possible until reading @Topdog post.

^^^^^ full disclosure I am a rifle man but yup I do it.
