Hi Folks,

I have been reading through all the different JX3 posts. I do really like the concept of not having an additional pack and my stand. What do you JX3 users do with extra layers once you are at the tree and ready to climb? Do you have to get fully dressed before the climb or is there a way to still stash everything until needed? Thanks.

As far as pants that I might pull over what I wear in I put them on at ground level. I can put on a jacket or pull over on when at hunting height. I can do this mainly due to once at height I loosen my shoulder straps and take them completely off my shoulders. If I want to put on a jacket I can lean the back rest back slip on the jacket then pull the back rest up to where I like it positioned. This is my third year hunting from the JX3 and really like this saddle.

I pack in the layers and then dress before I climb most of the time. You can add top layers in the tree but it takes a little wiggling to get everything just right and comfortable.

Thanks Fellas. I wasnt sure if there was a way to stash layers until after you are at height. Sometimes its warmer when I set up then cools later in the day. I just pulled the trigger and ordered a JX3 today. Figure I will never know until I try. Probably a next season thing or at best winter bow but it will give me time to practice.
