JX3 Hybrid - Questions for Interview with John

I have been out of the loop for a while and missed this thread. Good stuff. I would love to see some sort of headrest developed for those long sits when you just need to put your head back and close your eyes for a little bit. Additionally, a foot climbing platform like the Lonewolf, but specifically made for Saddle hunting. Something that would climb easily, and then could also be snuggly secured to the tree and used as a platform.

Finally, I think I would be a fan of a padded hip belt which would include a couple of roomy pockets on either side similar to my horn hunter pack. I’m usually carrying a fair amount of weight on my JX 3. Early bow season usually means 6 to 8 pounds of water weight alone, and late season luckily means less water, but more cold-weather clothing.

The weight of the JX 3 has been a non-issue for me. I started hunting public land in the Appalachian mountains a few years ago and thought I would be relegated to sitting on the ground. Most of my hunts involve climbing between 300 and 500 vertical feet so toting a climbing stand quickly became out of the question. When I learned of the JX 3 it quickly became my go to. I remember telling John that he literally extended my hunting career. Great guy, and great product.

I've been using mine for a couple weeks & it's great! John sent me a picture of a head rest. I went off his picture and made my own. But I'm hoping it's something he's going to be coming out with soon. Also it would be nice if he had a couple bushings incorporated into the side of the seat base frame that you could screw a bow quiver base too. I don't mount my quiver on my bow & use a Cat quiver. If he had some bushings to mount a base to you could attach a quiver to it for walking in & out. You could probably just leave it attached when hunting depending on the setup.

the frame is 1/16”square tubing. You can drop inserts or bolt through it.

I wouldn't mind seeing this head rest idea, I was thinking this weekend that would be great to have.

I guess I can't post a pic from my computer. If you guys want to message me your email I'll send it.

There is a manual? I got mine used and it did not come with one. I'll have to email and ask, all I see on the website is instructional video.

My manual doesn't show it. In fact the section where it talks about the tree fork adjustment, the picture doesn't even show a bushing installed in that spot. So what accessories go there?
