Do you need a platform? Is there a need for a ropeman on the tether? Any other things that are recommended for use

I keep sliding out of my jx3. Or at least putting a lot on my leg straps. I might need to tighten.my belt strap some more. Anyone else had this problem? I'm sure its something I am doing
Is there an adjustment for seat level? How do you slide out with the seat level? You just sit on top of it and lean back.
Is the seat level?

I meant in the front and back straps supporting the seat.Yes. Tether connection height and fork length.

Just change the height the fork hits the tree. I make minor changes throughout my sit like this for comfort. Push away from tree and raise the fork slightly to lean seat back or do the opposite to lean seat forward.

Just don’t fall asleep with it not level. Particularly leaning back. You’ll be in for a real spook
I don’t change it to drastic angles. Just slight changes. Just moving the contact point an inch up or down can change the feel of it a good bit.

In order to get it level l I have to lean back some and get the Y piece to bite. Thats hard sometimes because if I don't move right the Y will lose bite and it will jump down a bit from the tree. Not sure why I can't get my seat level.
I have one hunt out of the jx3. And 6 practice sits. I have experienced this sensation myself. I would encourage you to watch the YouTube tutorial and just make sure you’re doing everything correctly. I find it useful to my hands behind my butt on the bottom seat and grip it as I position myself. I wouldn’t say I’m 100% comfortable, but the more time you put in. The more second nature it’ll become.I keep sliding out of my jx3. Or at least putting a lot on my leg straps.
