Keep your aider away from the tree trunk.

Yesterday while climbing down, I had difficulty getting my foot into the top aider. Today I took a look in my shed and found a piece of Rolex which I stripped to expose the black wi and solve the aider problem. Guess you could also just use a clothespin with another stick (to extend it’s length)) attached to it.

Well there’s always that possibility but when I tested mine ou it didn’t happen. I also tried a couple of clothespins clipped together attached to the aider which worked and can be attached and detached quickly.

I messed with a similar idea for a bit, I tested out solid core 12 gauge wire as well as wire from a coat hanger, but ultimately stopped as it undoubtedly rotates, and then you have to use your hands to reset it. I found that just using my hand to hold the aider away from the tree when I put my foot in the first time works just fine and gave up on my idea. I was calling them aider persuaders at the time if you want a catchy name lol
