I had posted on Facebook about hosting a saddle hunting demo here in Kentucky I got some pretty good interest wanted to start a thread about it here it’s going to be June 15th here in Greenup KY is about 30 mins from Portsmouth Ohio and and 40 mins from Huntington West Virginia, I will most likely be hosting this at my parents farm but will add info on the location when I confirm that. Basically it’s just a get together for saddle hunters to check out each other’s gear and try different stuff out, or for those who have never been in a saddle try one out. Every one is welcome! If anyone has questions feel free to comment or send me a pm.

I started making plans today to come with a buddy. Really looking forward to it! If anyone that’s coming has any cranford rope steps or bullman steps, please bring them if you don’t mind cause I’d really like to try some before I order any.

Awesome! I don’t have either of those but hopefully someone might. I will have a couple trees prepped with regular cranford screw ins for anyone who wants to climb, my modified lone wolfs, a predator platform, a ring of ameristeps, and a diy platform. And probably some other gear I’m forgetting.

I’m only a few minutes away I may try to make it if I’m not traveling for work....between my group of friends we have a podium, assassin and predator platforms. I may also have my flex by then as well.
 
Awesome! Im from WV but drive through Greenup all the time to hunt some Ohio property I go to (around Lucasville). If I can get away that day, I may try to make it over with y’all.

I’m local and live in greenup. I will come and have a few saddles and climbing options. Also have a couple sewing machines I will sell for diy
 
I can probably make it too. I'm in Morehead, KY so not too far away. I can bring quite a few climbing methods and some knaiders and swaiders. Probably bring my recurve and longbow too if someone wants to try a trad bow out.

No my girlfriend is in the nursing program there so we moved to morehead for her last 2 years in the program. But now I've started thinking about going back to school so we may be here a while.
 
So do you have a count yet of how many are coming? I'm considering making the trek down to meet you all.

Awesome! It’s a small world when I first started I didn’t know anyone in our area that saddle hunted now there is a growing handful!
