New saddle guy here too.Been bow hunting from stands since 1972. Went to a saddle demo near my house and decided to give it a try. The kestrel arrived about 2wks. ago. Have it down pretty good although I've only used 1 LW stick to go up. Off the ground is off the ground plus its easier to climb down 1 stick to go retrieve my arrows. I'm a self filmer with 4 back operations and was looking for a lighter way to carry all this gear. I haven't done a full mock up hunt yet carrying everything, but with a LW climber 21lbs. and all the camera gear the pack was 55lbs.!!! Now throw in 4 back operations and imagine carrying all that.I do have a small complaint however. Third time up the tree I leaned back on my back belt and both carabiner's popped and broke. Called Areo and their replacing them. Great customer service. Also I'll put in a link to a deer hunt I filmed on an 8pt.

I will say that those plastic back back biners will break IF the latch is not seated in the top loop. So in the future just confirm that the metal part on the spring it snug under the top plastic. Take a closer look and you will see what i mean. Welcome to the world of saddle hunting! Great video! @Drslyr
