Kiwi Klimbers ultralight carbon spurs group buy

I'd rather wait on the kiwi's. I have a belt with the same buckle as the gecko's, and it's annoyingly loud when putting it on. This would be my first (hopefully only) spur purchase, so I'd like to get it right the first time.

Those are easy to get rid of. A simple 1” strap with a quick release buckle works great.

August will be my cut-off date. I’m spur-less right now and it’s my main climbing method so I have to get a set and have them ready to go before season kicks off. I’ll hold off a bit and see how it plays out. Wish I had kept mine haha. It’s all good tho

This might be a blessing in disguise for me. If I'm going to get some I like to get the best out there as I'll probably only buy one set, hopefully. But that being said this will not be my main method of climbing since I can't use them on public land. I haven't done a side-by-side comparison of the two so I don't know what the biggest differences are. I'm not in a super big hurry so y'all just let me know what y'all want to do. Either way I'm not going to miss a deal, if I can help it.

I'll look into that. I'm sure there's a how-to floating around this forum somewhere. That makes me a little more receptive to the Gecko's. I should have known someone had come up with a mod for them.

If you spend $400 on Spurs that makes them legal in all places.

Mark me down for waiting on Kiwis.

I’ll take them anytime & don’t care when they arrive.

There will probably never be another opportunity for such a fantastic deal.

If we bail, then the opportunity most likely won’t have enough volume/interest in the future to occur again. Also, the owner could decide he won’t offer this deal again.

Plus it’ll force me to get good with sticks I’m gonna buy (heliums , Dan’s, or both) & my Mantis/Predator.

Thanks for your efforts also

I'm tempted to send some pictures of tree damage done by climbers and locking and WE Stepps to my CO and ask why they are legal and Spurs are not. I've seen much greater damage from some of those than from general spur use.

Don’t do that or they’ll ban them too.

My take is WMA land belongs to hunters. Hunters paid for the land, and the understanding was that it was set aside to be enjoyed by hunters. Since I have never had another hunter tell me that my spurs were compromising his enjoyment of the land, I don't see the problem.

I understand not killing trees, but the area I hunt is subject to frequent hurricanes. Saltwater intrusion, erosion, wind damage, lightning, etc. kill trees regularly. I very rarely hunt a tree more than once a year. If spikes kill it, it probably wasn't tough enough to survive anyway.

Kind of a moot point since my CEO gave me written permission to use them, but still.
