Knee Pad review

I used the cheap Harbor Freight knee pads the past 2 seasons, and they were fine but got uncomfortable after a while. Recently I picked up a set of the Klein Tools gel knee pads. They have a lot more cushioning, a flatter face, and the rubber outer coating is more rigid, but still soft enough to grip the tree well.

Highly recommend for $25.

You sir, are amazing. I’ve been using a pair of foam cheapies from ace hardware, maybe $20 a pair. They haven’t been bad and were a good start but the foam compresses after a while and they slide up and down. The Velcro straps are annoying but functional, though they do make some noise on one pair of my pants. So I ordered these kleins and hunted them this morning. Night and day in all aspects. This tree was more of a leaner than sitter so I’ll need more time with them but I know what the verdict will be.

I don't care for the hardshell kneepads, they work as they should, but like to slide around on bark. I'm going to have to get some gel flooring-installer kneepads so I don't skid around so much. I don't think Klein is carried locally but Menards has an equivalent product

These have a grippy rubber texture and they don't slide on the tree at all.

I have a U.S. military pair of knee pads that are a bit over kill for saddle hunting, but I use them all the time for any ground hunts. They have a hard shell cap that protects you from anything, but are horrible for gripping the tree bark.

I recently purchased a set of Trophyline knee pads and I'm very happy with how well they preform for saddle hunting! The bottom strap is a non-stretching belt, while the top strap is elastic and works great for all day comfort. :)

These Klein pads are the same type of attachment. Elastic on top and a non stretch belt on the bottom b

For the inexpensive that works well crowd, I’ve got these and really like them. Quiet rubber exterior hasn’t deteriorated at all over 2 seasons, padding inside is pretty dense and is holding up well comfort wise as well. Saw they were at Harbor Freight when I was picking up a replacement headlamp and thought I’d pass it along.

Those are precisely what I bought a couple weeks ago at HF.....the $12.99 specials. They work OK.....not ready to ditch them just yet, but also considering an upgrade on my Christmas list.

Inused these for a handful of sits until one of them started to squeak. They were OK, although a bit bulky. Once they started to make noise though, it was a no go for me. Got some of the teophyline pads and have liked them so far.

That sucks yours did that. I haven’t had a peep out of mine. I did put a little grease on the places straps attached so they move freely. I’ve got Sitka gear I still put zipper wax on, some things make noises and we’ve gotta mitigate that.
