I've been thinking about getting one to try out too. Good to hear the good review! Have you used it in the field yet?

I used it on a backcountry elk hunt. It worked great.

It was $89.00 And i hunted with it this morning. I believe it's best pack I've ever owned. I climbed a mountain this morning with everything on my back but my bow. Pack made it seem effortless

I'm a big fan eberlstock. Mine is the X2, 1830 ci, frame pack, two zippered wing compartments - I use one for hydration and one for ropes, a main compartment for - extra layers & harness, Hip pockets for - range finder, headlamp, trail tacks, bow hangers, top flap for - bino' s, internal pocket for - first aid kit and a sunglass pocket. The wings and top flap/bottom buckle together and can expand enough to carry a leg quarter or two or a bow and for me that's where my stepp ladder goes all nice and contained. Molle loops all over it so when its attached to the tree grimlock D rings turn it into a big gear hanger, range finder calls etc. Full lifetime warranty.

I've been wanting an X2 for a long time. I bought a Horn Hunter Main Beam last week. It has a lot of the same features (wings, optics pocket, compression straps) as the X2. It's definitely not as ruggedly built. However, It's half a pound lighter and $50 cheaper. If this one doesn't work, I'm going with the X2.

I have an X2 and the mainbeam. The mainbeam lays out better for how I pack for whitetails. My X2 gets most of its use during the off/turkey season
