Figured I'd share; always find looking at this map put out by LA WLF Dept. interesting when trying to plan hunts in the year.

It can be useful but in the interior of the state it's actually more confusing! lol Interestingly enough, you can literally draw in Interstate 49 just based on this map. It is definitely a huge barrier for deer.
 
Not sure how accurate that is. First year hunting in East Feliciana and still getting pictures of fawns with spots.

The general idea is accurate, but as you can tell, there's going to be lots of timing off. Rut is just a weird thing in a part of the country where deer don't have to fight winter to survive.

Having said that, parts of EF have deer rutting into January. That would put fawns with spots as "not out of the ordinary" considering a 200 day gestation and a few months to lose the spots.
