Latitude Method 2, what dont you like about it?

The only issue I ever have with mine is sometimes I have trouble finding the magnets to stow the bottom panel if I'm running 2 pouches.... really that's only cuz the pouches are getting a bit in the way but typically I realize I was about 2 inches off of the magnet... honestly I have no complaints about this saddle... note..it's my first 2 panel and I'm for sure a 2 panel guy... but I love the metal free construction... and the rope waist belt holds better than a buckle... not to mention adjusting based on varying thickness of layering
I usually grab my single panel, not really sure why though.
But my only real complaint would be that the leg straps attach to the bottom panel, which is ok for walking but if you deploy (?) Or pull the bottom panel down you now have that much slack in your leg straps.
I , personally, find that awkward one sticking. Feels like you can slide down where with tight leg straps I'm more comfortable.
Vapor line is solid. I would look at a better/different fiction hitch or a better tender but otherwise it's very nice. Fairly stiff but it was the same @75° or 15° inb that regard. Can be hard to keep it tight to the tree if you just slip the tag end through the eye as a girth hitch for your tether

Maybe. It's been a while but if I remember the bottom panel ended up sliding down on me climbing, which is a lot more comfortable with it more under your bottom. The adjuster straps might fix that, I think I had them pretty long for a sitting style set up. Maybe adjusting the length on those you could balance the bottom panel position and leg straps
I used one all year and loved it. The rope belt is the best of all belts I have used yet. I have used several single and double panels for one sticking and I much prefer 2 panels for one sticks. Although I love the method 2 and thought I’d never buy another saddle, I have 4 sits in a new single panel and a new 2 panel still in the box. I’m always looking for the next best thing. I used one all season, seemed stiff at first but softened up with use and ended up very comfortable. Never had any issues while one sticking
2 panel saddles are great for one-sticking or 2TC or spurs...
I switched from a single panel to the Method 2 XL this season. So far I love it, but the only thing I will be changing is the damned bridge. That amsteel locks down on its self so tight I need two hands to work it free, so I will be switching to a more traditional rope bridge instead. I love having an adjustable bridge, but I need one that is easily adjustable.
For me, the trick with the magnets was to use my lineman's loops. Pull them out in front of you with no weight on the bottom panel and it'll snap right up.
I picked up the Method 2 after trying a friend's out. I'd sat in one at the Wisconsin meet up and liked it, then bought the Method 2 XL and didn't like the XL vs my AeroHunter. Sat in my friend's Method 2 for one day, loved it, and didn't look back. The small size is a huge advantage for the hike in.
I mainly one stick. I climb, sit, and rappel with the bottom panel deployed. I do not use the leg straps.
Yes, you can climb with the bottom not deployed. I use the limiting straps to keep it at the position that I like.
I originally had the method 2 XL and had comfort issues, I switched to the standard Method 2 and can sit all day.
I got one midway through this season and it’s an excellent and well thought out saddle. I won’t be switching anytime soon. As mentioned the Amsteel bridge locks tight but having the off season to tinker with what bridge length works best for you it won’t be an issue. I found my sweet spot now I just leave it and tuck the bridge under my rope belt on the walk in/out and climb up/down. Simple.
The Method 2 with my rope belt mod is awesome.
It wears in/out like a back belt, acts like a boson’s chair when climbing and functions equally well when sitting or leaning.
The Merlin may be more comfortable when at height but nothing beats the Method2 overall.

Like everything else, it is easier with practice. After using the limiting straps for awhile I now leave them at a certain length. I like my lower panel to sit at just cover my backside. When I want to use it as more of a sling seat, I adjust the bridge and use the saddle as a seat.
