I did a quick scan of previous post and didn’t see anything on this but has anyone used webbing aiders single and multi step on the SS sticks? I am just not big on the amsteal aiders and I only ascend with them not descend I repel when finished. My assumption is it’s fine as I’d imagine if the step was weak in that spot it would break regardless of type. Thanks in advance!

I ran a 3 step web aider on the SS sticks when I first got them. It worked just fine. No flex at all on the steps. You should be good I think.

Yeah I tried them at ground level but a 1-2x try compared to someone actually running them was what I was hoping to hear. Thank you for the info.

Makes sense. Welcome. I don’t like aiders to begin with so I stopped using them but for someone that does like them it’s good.

I used them with webbing and other/homemade aiders all this season and can confirm no flex issues - haven't found a webbing aider that attaches to them very well at all though
