Leaning trees

I have to add.. .I had great success this year with mild leaners on high side. Had long hunts where I positioned cushy Fanatic pack straight in front of me at thigh level, then adjusted Cruzr saddle so I could sit more and just rest and straddle into the pack. Knees bent on either side of tree, and feet on platform. Naps no problem. No movement for very long periods. Pack also cushy enough for standing/leaning with knees only into pack. Did a few entire days dark to dark like this.

I one stick, but other than the climbing, there’s really no difference on stand. Avoidance is great if there is another suitable tree available. But sometimes they are unavoidable. I hunt swampy areas where almost every tree has some degree of lean to it and practice does make perfect, or as perfect as you can get. If it is a little lean I will work the high side, but once it gets beyond a little lean I work the low side both climbing and platform location. Doesn’t take much movement on the high side of a heavy leaner for gravity to take over….right when Mr. Big shows up, so I don’t fight it. I go for the low side. Good Luck!
