This a major convenience for me. Especially when using thinner ropes and on trees where your tether is hard to break loose for climbing and for rope
Retrieval.
If you simply pull the stopper with your left hand while holding and feeding the tag end up a little, you will easily open the girth Hitch on your tether without having to get your fingers between the rope and tree.
For easy rope retrieval, I have a paracord attached to the stopper and do the same motion from the ground
Retrieval.
