Left eye dominant, shooting right handed.

It depends.

Dad is left eye dominant and right handed and shoots everything as a righty except for bench shooting a rifle. Shoots really well. Learned to do it right handed because folks handed him right-handed equipment. Never switched over because he sees fine out of his non-dominant eye, can buy right handed gear easier than left, and since he's right handed stuff like controls on a weapon or quick, offhand shots are easier that way.

His boss is the opposite. Lefty who is right eye dominant and has shot right handed weapons his whole life. He also shoots right handed. He has much better vision in his right eye, and also learned to shoot that way because growing up he got handed right handed weapons. His wife bought him a really nice left-handed Browning rifle after their business took off and he took it hunting for one season and then sold it for a right handed model.

Different people are different degrees of eye/hand dominant. I don't think you'll know for sure what you like until you try it for a bit. Generally, when I worked in a shop I'd advise going right-handed if at all possible just because of bow and accessory availability. Also, if you rely on somebody else to tune your bow, good luck finding a left handed bow tech.

Well I am right handed and left eye dominant and I did switch about 10 years ago but I switched back. I killed a nice doe shooting lefty but at the time all my tree stands (about a dozen) were set up for right handed. I ended up just training myself to shoot with both eyes open by closing my left eye until I got my sight picture and then opening my left eye to get better depth perception. It works for me but may not be for everyone.

Thanks buddy! Think I have it sold though. Just need to find a box to ship it :)
I do that as well practicing sometimes but then sometimes it makes me miss where I'm aiming because I dont realize my left eye has taken over. so not comfortable shooting at an animal that way.

I'm right eye dominant & right handed. I shot right handed for 20+ years and developed target panic. I switched to left handed to correct the problem. Shooting with your dominant eye is always the way to go. With that said it was easy to switch to left. Probably the hardest thing was loading the arrow...LOL. You just can't beat the vision of your dominant eye. I think it will be pretty easy for you to pick it up switching to left handed. Just remember to close your right eye!

I'm left eye dominant also and right handed. I squint my left eye and never had a issue. Been thinking about it alot lately. My father is lefty so I'm going to try his old Jennings. See how I like it.

I write and eat left handed and I’m left eye dominate. I have left handed bolt action rifles. I throw right handed.

I shoot my pistols and bows right handed. I ended up getting an old left handed bow. I was amazed at how quickly I picked it up and shoot well.

I still go with my RH bows for resell value since I’m probably the same skill level either side.
