I'll get Charlie horse because of combination of dehydration and high stepping in hip boots....funny how our muscles get so used to unobstructed walking that we get wore out just from walking uneven terrain....i read an article about how we don't even walk the same way today as people earlier in history because we get used to walking in hard sole shoes.....anybody with kids can tell too..... We walk ball of the foot down first naturally but we get lazy with shoes and walk heel down first....

@Babefa can u give some more info on the magnesium supplements talking about?

Certainly, first and foremost I am happy to be a part of the SH community. Thank you for being inclusive. Magnesium, zinc, calcium and potassium are vital minerals for proper bone and muscle function. We saddle hunters use large muscle groups during the course of our hunts. Core muscles and lower extremity muscle groups take a beating and become fatigued and sore from a build up of lactic acid. This is an indicator of magnesium deficiency. Hydration and magnesium supplementation is key to preventing and managing our soreness. Sorry so long winded.

you have to have a good diet too make sure your muscles are getting the vitamins they need. someone above recommended supplements which is a great idea. They always say a banana a day keeps the cramppies away. lol
