Huh, I'm from the same town in NJ, Paterson (spelled the correct way without that pesky second t people seem to want to add) Got a long ways to go with my deer knowledge to claim many other similarities though. RIP

RIP Mr. Rue. When I was younger I used to see that he was from a town in the same state as me and think that was pretty crazy that he was in deer and deer hunting. Here I am years later and occasionally hunt in his neck of the woods. It's night and day difference from where I grew up in the state lol.

He came to my area back in the late 80’s to do a knowledge seminar. Have a talk at a local high school auditorium. Needless to say I read his books and he was a great help to me as a young hunter at the time.

Rest in Peace.
