I see what you did there. Preseason is definitely where it's at!

That being said, when they really start flowing in for a new project, I find it is ok if she sees one or two, but you better make sure she doesn't see all 10

I don't know when that is, but it always seems like we could do nothing socially all year and then there is something planned every weekend from september through january  . And I am given a hard time for wanting to sit in a tree instead!

I like to lose a bunch of money playing poker, eat a ton of beans, start picking at her cooking...
I figure it is better to make her "enjoy" the time I'm away.

Me too. I like to be free and not contested! Hand my pack on the right of tree with gear I may need in a hurry hanging off. Which is only a grunt call and water bottle. I don't pack binos or range finder. Woods is too thick for binos and if they are in long bow range, I don't need to range them.DaveT1963 said:The longer I saddle hunt the more I realize I don't want anything on my saddle. I keep everything in Faisal that is hung on right side of tree. I may have one pouch on my saddle for tree rope.... Did this year but thinking about taking it back off.
I did a Google image search for "Faisal"..DaveT1963 said:The longer I saddle hunt the more I realize I don't want anything on my saddle. I find its easier to leave my former Iraqi kings at home when I hunt. The separation is tough at first but I've really been trying to cut down on the unnecessary gear. This is obviously for a day hunt... If it were a backpacking trip it would be a whole different story!
