Here's me hanging from the tree. I try to keep my setup as simple as possible because I hunt mostly pack in/pack out hunts on public land.
This is the full side view of my HSS Rope style safety belt that I use to clip to my saddle as well as my platform carrier/dump pouches/bow/quiver combo strap.
This is the front view of the combo strap. I have two dump pouches that I use to hold food/snacks/water, scent control, grunt tubes, range finder, whatever I need really.
I've got a hook on each side of the strap. One for my quiver (which I hang 6-8 scent wafers on), and one for my bow. I hunt mostly public land so I don't use screw in bow holders. This setup works better for me anyway. It's faster, quieter and easier to setup than a screw in.
This is the opposite hook where I hang my bow.
I carry my platform in one of the dump pouches to minimize extra stuff in the tree. After I hang my last Muddy step, I strap on my Ameristeps with the ratchet strap and then use the same bag to hold my stuff and my bow.
All in all it's a pretty straightforward setup. My goal is to be as quick and quiet as possible.
