The rope runs through a delta link at the top so that you have just the one end coming down from the tree. You have a piece of paracord or something small attached to that delta link. When you are ready to retrieve your rope you pull the link down with the paracord to retrieve your rope.

Alright, I still don't get it. A delta link is basically just a carabiner, so you still need a rope coming from the bottom of the tree going through that delta link and back down to rappel, but half of that rope is paracord to cut down on weight?

No. The rappel line is a single length with a link on one end. Wrap the end with the link around the tree at height and then pass the tail end through the link and cinch it tight to the tree.
The small line is attached to the link at height as well with the sole purpose of pulling on the link once your back on the ground.
Then your rappel line and link slide down the tree

I just sat in my GW at ground level for the first time. HOLY COW! That's the most comfortable thing I've sat in in a tree!
Now to try a climb.

I use mine any time temps are 60* or below (that's cold for us south la boys).

Move the kickstand back as noted.

Going to rope tether and bridge cut down on a fair amount of bulk and weight.

You'll notice the kickstand creates a lever action when you're taking those naps - and if you shift more weight back to your feet or lean or move, it will scrape against the bark and make some noise. Put some tape or stealth strips on it, but most importantly get used to it, and push back from tree before making these adjustments. I've gotten busted a couple times getting surprised by a deer and moving quickly

It's the stock Guidos tree strap. You'll have to buy it complete and modify it yourself.

Picked up a web for the late season(love the kestrel my primary). Any more info on the web.? Pouches, mods,.? Did they change the buckles and belts to plastic?

I have a pretty old Web and I'm tempted to buy a new one before he goes out the door. I didn't know there was a "tall" model. Is it more comfortable than the standard back?

I grabbed one too because he's closing shop. He mentioned someone may buy his buisness. I like the web for late season hunting.
