I would like to hear from ayone that owns or has owned an Oneida bow.
I am searching for a used one.
I could buy new but my concern is they keep making the bows shorter.
I saw a youtube video about the history of the bow. The guy says he doesn't like the Strike Eagle or whichever bows have the longbow looking limbs. He doesn't state why or if the bows are not as good.
Here is my story.
Wisconsin had one hell of a sport show once upon a time(40 yrs. ago)and I had hardly any money to my name the day attended.
Buck Rub Archery shop had a booth there that year and in it was the first ever to hit Wi.
Oneida Eagle.
I paid my admission and bought a beer leaving me with $5 in my pocket. When I saw the bow and drew it I said I wanted to buy it.
They wanted it to remain at the show and asked for a deposit and it was mine. The look on his face when I fished out my only $5 in the world. We did the deal and I took possession two weeks later.
I loved that bow but a hinge broke when I let my older brother take it out. I moved on eventually but lately I have been wanti g to finger shoot one pretty bad. I know they are better made over the years.
Lets hear your stories, experiences and opinions on which were the best years.
