Any big issues with cutting down a brand new Muddy life line into tether/line mans rope? With exception of using knots rather sewn in loops any safety issues I am not seeing?

You should be good. The diameter of that rope is more than enough. If your using a ropeman just make sure you stay in specs

Knots are fine. Muddy lifeline plenty heavy strong but I recall it is pretty stiff. Ditto on making sure equipment is sized to rope.

A good deal on a tether is the Kook brand. A bit overkill in size but ready to go as is or add Ropeman for easier adjustment.

Here I am using it with different hardware.

I liked idea of sewn in loops but all the lineman/tethers seemed overpriced most likely because the of the prussic knots and carabiners that come with them. Found what I needed at a decent price at Eastern Woods Outdoors so pulled the trigger. I'll save the life line for a stationary stand.
