Where is the back support? I can't tell from the pics? That's one of the things I like best about my sit drag.

There is no back support built in. Back support is not effective in my case unless the strap connects higher on the bridge. Its important to understand this wasn't an attempt to build a better sit-drag. I messed around with straps in my basement to understand what would work for me. I've never held or seen a sit-drag in person, and this was ordered before the sit-drag craze. I'm not knocking the sit-drag and I'm not competing against it or any other product. I simply had a min order to fulfill and gave others the opportunity to purchase what I wasn't going to use. That's why I stated in the beginning the dimensions, cause it was built with my needs in mind. This product is twice the price of a sit-drag, but I'm confident the quality and strength of materials used far exceed that of the sit-drag. I have no plans to mass produce this product. After some field use and feed back from guys on here, I might make some changes to it and place another order. I don't have the ability to "mod" it myself. As for right now, I'm very happy with it as is.
Have one left? I'll take it.

Day late and a dollar short as they say. If you want to buy (4) or can get (3) more guys I can place another order.

I'm excited for mine to arrive this week.

I too said early on that I would probably turn my Sit Drag into something like this. But I spent the extra money b/c I knew Kenn had put thought into this. I've seen his other DIY projects and it seems like he is very "purposeful" about what he does...

With purpose means... no stupid extra weight, safety, not focused on expense or trying to pull quality out to make a profit.

I would be more likely to purchase a second one of these than to mod my Sit Drag. I would like to play with this at least once before committing. But if there is another order, I'm most likely in.

Yes, Shaun. 1 = none... If this thing fits me right, I would definitely want a back up too.

X2.

If needed, I can order 2. If the glove doesn't fit, I'm sure there will be others interested.

I shipped yours and Shaun's priority 2 day mail. Ended up costing a few dollars more than I expected, but I know how it is to wait for something and did my best to minimize that within reason. The third one is spoken for, but hasnt been shipped yet. Guys I had 2 sets of buckles and shipped them, so I don't have a buckle now. I just placed another order for more buckles, wish I had known there would be interest for more prior to that order.

For those wanting one, or those who might want a second one, lets wait a bit and let the other 3 guys comment on them. I dont want to deter anybody from wanting one, but I also dont want everybody getting one and "wishing" it had this or that. If some mods get suggested that make sense, I can get a quote on that new design. Im not going to do 20 variety's. If your content on the current design I can add that to the Rev B design order as well. Does that sound reasonable to you guys? I would also require payment up front when I place the order as I cant afford to be stuck with unpaid orders.

Red are you ok with all this, Im not a business or a site sponsor.

I'd sure like chance to play with it for a while just to make sure the next one can't be improved. Good call

Would you believe I ordered one of the plastic buckles and they shipped me one of the aluminum ones? Not complaining because its double the price and I can always find a use, just didn't think that would happen!

I'm fine with it. This site is all about helping everyone else out and sharing info and ideas. Just remember everyone that is something goes wrong with it, you, the end user are responsible for the safety of your own equipment. (I should also add that you guys should expect some changes to the site at some point, 1. hopefully to resolve some of the ongoing issues, and 2. some adverstising to hopefully help offset the cost of the site.) All changes should be for the better and keep the site viable.

I would also suggest that you hold off on a second order until people have had a chance to put some time in these things. We have 7 months until hunting season so there is plenty of time to get some opinions and work things out before then. That is just my opinion though.

You guys get the kinks worked out and i'll order one on round #2

I'm with flingin - I'm kind of on the fence about this one. I'm kind of in love with my SitDrag right now.

I also would be interested after a little testing is done and can hear some reviews. It's down to this or the sit drag so I would like to order one in a couple months.

The sit drag is nice but everything I wanted improved on the sit drag is fixed with this design (without it getting too custom based on my needs). It'll be interesting to hear the suggestions from those doing the testing.

Got a lot of pressure on the testers!!!!!

I have total faith! Remember we like lots of pics!

I just took the Ken sling out with my dual shelf bear grizzly and spurred up about twenty feet in an oak and shot two dozen arrows (12 each, right and left hand) at my target from thirty yards. So far, the only thing I'm missing on this saddle is possibly some molle loops. Or else some sort of loop to attach things. I could see the bridge attachment loops being larger and maybe completely folded in a circle to make them even stiffer (they're fairly stiff already) - or else maybe a second set of loops to attach lineman belt. I think I'd prefer a larger, stiffer loop to make it easier to attach lineman and bridge to same place. I didn't have any trouble with it the way they are, but maybe in the dark a larger loop would be easier to find and I'd have less chance to unhook the wrong thing.
For today, I decided I'd just tighten my bridge all the way with the Ropeman and use the climbing rope as a lineman/tree tether. This is my favorite all around saddle now and for sure the best lightweight minimalist saddle I've been in. For a long sit I might decide to use some of my dangling rope and make a back rest like I've done when in my modified evo.
So in a nutshell, after two sits and maybe an hour and a half total in this thing, the only changes I can come up with are bigger stiffer bridge attachment loops and molle attachment points. I was looking hard for faults, and that's all I can come up with. That says a lot.
My hat's off to you, Ken. You da man

Shaun
P.s.
I just thought of one other thing while I was putting the saddle away. Well two things, maybe. The mesh could easily wear out or get torn while walking through woods (since I wear mine in instead of packing and unpacking). That wouldn't hurt the way the saddle functions because of the webbing, but it's a thought. So maybe there's a tougher material that's still flexible, breathable, and soft/quiet? Plus the color. We could do camo

Good recommendations. My first thought when seeing the design was the need for a few molle loops.

The fabric is a tough one. Most tougher fabrics are going to be significantly less quiet and breathable.
