Perhaps this question has been answered before but since I am new and just learning to navigate the site I thought I would just ask. Should I have a 2nd Linesman belt to attach to when I am climbing a tree that has several branches? Most the trees I hunt out of start to branch off before a person is 12 to 15ft up in said tree. Thinking that maybe a 2nd linesman belt might be best to keep continuously attached while climbing. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Always staying connected to the tree is the safest approach many guys on here have started carrying a secondary linemans belt made from amsteel, it's super light and compact and will do the job until you reconnect your main linemans around the tree.

Sounds like the safest route. Thank you for the reply.

Most of our tethers are either identical to or close enough to our linesmans belt to use it as a secondary linesmans belt. You will already have it with you and will need it accessible when you get to your desired hunting height.
Oh okay.. So you just use the tether to get past the branch and then hook back up to the linesman?

Double ended double long tether/lineman’s belt. Just flip the end over the limb and hook it on.
