Linemans rope as gear hanger....

I have been using a diy gear holder like g2outdoors, but I had a thought while on the way hunting this afternoon. Why not just use my lineman's rope that is already wrapped around the tree and cinch it tight with my ropeman. So I took my Hero Clip and an s biner off other gear holder and tried it when I got up in the tree. It work really well and is just one less thing I have to do once I am on my platform. From now on I will just put my clips in my pocket when I leave the truck and just hook them on my linesman's belt once I am hooked into my tether....

I used to do that with a lone wolf strap. Linemans and gear hook. Never could get it quite how I wanted though.

I definitely like the idea of multipurpose gear.

I’m using my linesmans as a backpack hanger this year. The more used I can find for a piece of gear the better.

That's what I plan to do from now on. I will hang my bow, pack, grunt call, and range finder from it. Like I said, it's just one less thing I will have to get out and put up during and after hunt.

I tried it, but it needs extra fiddling. Maybe I'll keep playing. For now I used my old hammock straps.
