locking a girth hitch or similar "knot"?

I'm trying to tie shoulder straps to a platform.

Is there a type of knot where you can form a girth hitch (or similar) and then once you pull that tight then lock it down with another knot so that the girth hitch (etc) can't be undone/majorly loosened (without untying or cutting the cord)? I'm having a problem with it loosening and sliding around.

Cat’s Paw seems cool.

I’ve used a cow hitch with a poachers knot to keep it tight. Works reasonably well.

Just run your tag end through the loop twice and it wont move.
