I have a caribiner on the end of the strap.i take it around the tree an rehook it to the stand letting the back as low as I can.let my tether low and reach down and pull it tight as I can.the strap is one from a summit climber that held the stand top and bottom together
@Adrena123 check out the bungee as foot strap.... pretty sweet.

Awesome job I have been wondering what the best way to keep it stable after the climb would be and this looks promising!

The key is to pull down on the front of the stand. I tried a strap around the back . But even with a rachet strap which I don't want to Carie it still wasn't as stable as pulling down on the front .and with a strap around the strap it's pretty stable

Black bungees work good. Nice set up @big jerr . I Prefer one adjustable webbing strap with the rope tied in the middle. It's cool how we all have our own style.
