Problem having is band keeps getting hung up while climbing on tree bark.
I added the bolts and nuts to give it a better angel but still keeps getting hung up making it hard to climb.
Any ideals on how to fix

Push off tree with both hands and Tilt with heels. Also, dont fight the band. You can play with it until you get the feel of how to get the platform to “reset” the band for you. Try not to twist too much. Take breaks by sitting in saddle instead of getting too worked up. Find something that allows you to do 2 or more adjustments of the tether to your bridge per move of the tether up the tree.

Loosen your belt up. you should be able to freely pass the stand up the tree by hand without touching it as a visual reference. Best guess is you need to open your belt more and/or tilt the stand more.

Do you have the climber arms secured down in anyway? I ran the bungee that came with around the bottom this weekend with the intent of keeping the random movement of the arms to a minimum and it seemed to work pretty good as well.

Make sure your toes aren't hitting the tree when trying to climb. That will rob you of space. If this is the case, move your foot strap back until your toes don't rub the tree when going up.

+1 for securing the arms. Mine are zip tied down.

Get some vinyl tubing and slide over the band. This is what I did with mine when I used it and it works great and doesn't add much weight at all. It is just 1 inch vinyl water tubing I believe.

does the tubing affect the stand once in place?
What I mean will it slide down
