I never climbed with these on the hand climber, but I did use them on the base and they done great. I'm going strictly to spurs, but this looks like it would work for the guys using this as a climbing method and platform.

Good idea. Why didn’t I think of that?

Gonna have to steal them off my Summit Viper I don’t use anymore.
 
Not a fan of this. Webbing can be used as stirrups in the hand climber system. Webbing tends to break less than plastic. Webbing also doesn't limit packability.

Please educate me if I'm misunderstanding the application.
