Just wanted to share my mods for my climber. first the foot straps.got longer bolts that go through the arms (8mm by 1.25) not sure how long they ended up. To fasten a 24" tarp strap to for my foot straps.
Second. The strap for around the tree double s as one of my aiders . With a nother shot aider I let on the stand I can get 5' before I start climbing.
Third I found if you put a strap around the cable it hold the stand in place better. And try to get the other strap lower so it is pulling down on the front of the stand

I'll try sending them again . It says the file is to large. How do you fix that

What type of trees do u climb with the lwhc? Species, perfectly straight etc.? I am struggling to make this work for
me. I was hoping the bolt mod would solve some of the struggles Im having.

The bolt mod makes it much better.i love mine.i think it's easier than the regular lone wolf. I'll try to get the picture to upload

I’ve climbed pines and oaks, even went around a limb at about 10’ last hunt. No mods, other than foot straps, and it works great. I gear tie it to back of my fanny pack right now and wear my saddle. The bow is far more to deal with while walking. I love this setup!!!

I don’t climb pines. Oak, maple, beech and today chestnut. I use the LWHC without mods also. I love this system!!!!

I’d rather not climb pines, to much noise, but that’s mostly what I have available.

I avoid them but I like to have a 12-18 foot white pine close to the tree I’m climbing for cover. Today I had a 15 foot beech with all its leaves in green in front of the tree I climbed. Awesome cover!

I have countless little cuts on my hands from moving my tether up a pine tree yesterday. I will try to avoid but sometimes its the straightest and branchless tree in the area. Amazing how the little cuts can burn the worst.

I have gator hide for skin on my hands so not a problem here. Every time I’ve had to have my hands stitched they comment how tough it is.

Stitched from what?

Work injuries usually. Had a fish hook through the index once and no one could pull it. Doctor had trouble. Then I went straight back to catching reds and specks!!!

Ya im stubborn. My brother gifted me some gloves after fouling my hands up pretty good on helium stick foot pegs last season. I need to wear some for rappelling with safeguard as well to prevent rope burn.
