Lone wolf hand climber/saddle part 2

Thank you for posting that. I will probably end up doing it that way too. What are the zip strips on the side posts for?

Thanks man... zip ties keep the arms from folding (somewhat not needed) up like when coming done the tree. Originally the hand climber is designed to fold flat so it packs on top of the LW platform.

I hunted from mine several times this season. its a great method

Where did you get those knee pads - do the pads have a lot of adjustment - I got big knees

Great video thanks for sharing. I especially like the way you slid the tether around the tree when you hung it’s makes it a lot easier getting off the platform.

I use an adjustable strap made by third hand. Replaced the" yough grip" with a bike tube for traction with my rope.. still no noise using tube.

I bought a set of super cheap hammock straps from Amazon. One end has a single sewn loop, while the other end has a series of sewn loops for adjustable hammock attachment. I cut the strap around the mid point where the series of sewn loops starts.

I girth hitched the single sewn loop strap to the platform on one side and used a 1" tri-glide on the free end to create a fully adjustable loop on the other side of the platform.

I use the other half of the strap with the series of sewn loops as a pack/gear hanger on the tree. Not bad for $3, huh?

Great video and demonstration! Working that platform/climb method into my toolkit is definitely high on my off season list this year.
