Lone wolf hand climber/saddle part 2

I bought a set of super cheap hammock straps from Amazon. One end has a single sewn loop, while the other end has a series of sewn loops for adjustable hammock attachment. I cut the strap around the mid point where the series of sewn loops starts.

I girth hitched the single sewn loop strap to the platform on one side and used a 1" tri-glide on the free end to create a fully adjustable loop on the other side of the platform.

I use the other half of the strap with the series of sewn loops as a pack/gear hanger on the tree. Not bad for $3, huh?
@DB4x4, I don't see those straps for 2.99. I see them for 9.99.

That’s pretty slick I was going that way for a gear hanger anyway thanks for the info

Here is the strap on the platform, btw. I must've gotten them on sale since I bought them right around Christmas time. I do remember thinking to myself, "How can they possibly sell these for $3 with prime shipping and still make money?"

Here is a set of hammock straps from another company for $7. Still not a bad deal...

I recommend girth hitching the stabilization strap around tree above platform when you are 2 foot below hunting height. reach down clip it on bottom of platform with buckle between tree and platform, climb up over strap to hunting height, reach down below platform and tighten the strap.... this welll be far more stable and easier.
