Hey guys, just picked up a used LWHC top for $80. Have a new strap on the way. To keep the seat from collapsing in too close to the tree, could the arms be welded to the cast aluminum? Yeah it’ll lose packability but it will be solid as compared to zip ties holding it? I don’t know anything about welding so idk if it could be done??
 
My experience with welding would say that might jeopardize the integrity of the aluminum casting.for me the more I use mine the less folding in is an issue.And like you said the pack ability is one of the things I love
