Lone wolf sticks question. I ordered 4 today and have three already. I am 2000 miles away from farm so I don't get a ton of practice except for a week this summer. Do the sticks stack together where u can carry as one unit or do I need to bungie them. Also is there a strap out there to attach for say over the shoulder carrying of all sticks? How many sticks is needed for say 25+ feet?

They'll need a strap to stay together. Nite ize gear ties work great as an option. Any strap will work for a carry strap, but if you wanted to be fancy you could make yourself a paracord sling the perfect length for them.

They have a strap to attach them but it doesn't work well. The bungees are better. I prefer the outside of a pack over a strap but they make one. If you walk through any type of woods the pack is great, if your crossing open ground that shoulder strap would work fine.

The sticks do stack together.
Search for the strapworks carry strap, it’s pretty popular on here.
Without any aiders you’ll probably need 5 to get to 25 feet.

I use this bungee( not sure what length). I secure the loop end to the top 1/3 of the stick that is on the bottom of my stack. It’s stays on that stick. When bundling them together, I wrap it in a downward spiral like a revolution and a 1/2 and put the hook around one of the v-brackets on one of the steps. It will lock them together solid.

Lonewolf makes a strap called the stick caddy and it does go over your shoulder and it does carry four sticks with no problem. They do stack together nice but you will have to use another strap to keep them from coming apart I just take the top strap from the step on top and wrap it around and connect it to the versa button and pull tight.

I ordered my stainless steel ratchet strap in camo from strapworks years ago but I did not know that they had carrying straps good to know. What length would you recommend for carrying climbing sticks I was thinking of two to four foot length do you think that would be a good length. Thanks Red

Yes, I believe that was the length I got too.

Do u think it would secure 5?

Once u get to the top could u use the top step as a platform with say screw in steps?

I’m sure it would. You just wouldn’t wrap around as much. Just need one wrap.

I think some people use the top of the stick as a platform but with the LoneWolf steps being foldable, it may swing on you as you are pushing off. They are not designed for side pressure.

The strap that comes w the sticks is noisy Velcro and I’ve broken both of mine, the bungee is the way to go. You can leave the strap loose from your first stick, bring over your shoulder and hook to top cleats and tighten down.

depends on how you plan to carry them up the tree.

If you just want to bundle them until you get to the tree and then dangle them off your saddle with molle loop attachments, Id use the above bungee

If you want to shoulder/chest the bundle and remove them one by one as you climb then you will need multiple bungees in a series.
I used to use these when I carried five sticks

I can get these at home depot, but they don't seem to show up online

shoulder strap on my 5th stick....first bungee around the bundle of just my 5th and 4th stick.......second bungee around the bundle of my 5th, 4th and 3rd....another bungee around the bundle of 5,4,3,2 sticks and last bungee around the entire 5 stick bundle. So when your climbing you remove the outer bungee and the bottom stick comes loose

These bungees are very quick to use so dealing with 4 on the climb is nothing as long as you have a cargo pocket to stuff them into
