Hello from the great hunter's paradise of Delaware!

Been hunting for about 3 years now in DE and PA and am absolutely hooked. Long time rock climber who used a climbing harness last year and this year invested in the Aero Hunter Evolution which I am loving, thanks for all the reviews and details.

I have read through many posts and have gotten some insight into my question, but here it is...

Do you hike to your location wearing the saddle, or carry the saddle to put on at the location?

Looking forward to many seasons of being a part of a great community!

Welcome to the site from NJ! Quite a few guys from DE and MD on here as well.

I hike to the site with my saddle on. It is one less thing for me to try to stuff in a bag somewhere. I have pouches off the saddle for my linemans belt and tree strap as well.

Hi Gr33n Arrow.

Where are you in DE? My Inlaws live in Newark. I've tried to find a time and place to bowhunt in DE for years but it's never come together for me...

I am in Bear and hunt the canal this time of year and then Lum's Pond or White Clay after Oct 14th when they open for archery. Also hunt private land in Franklin County, PA.

My plan is to have my entire set-up fit into my Cabela's bow/rifle pack so I can just grab my pack and go hunting. Here in FL it can be 70-80 degrees in Dec. so I'd rather not wear my saddle in.

I wear mine in as well. I also try not to carry a pack unless it's far enough where my extra layers would be too cumbersome to carry by hand. A lot of times I end up strapping my insulating layers on top of my sticks and throwing all that over my shoulder. As far as extra gear, I bring as little with me as possible.

Thanks for the replies. Went out for the first time and wore it in. Wasn't bad at all. Simply need to figure out exactly what I need to take with this set up, and what I can do without.

The aero evolution's waist belt is nice for holding it up while you walk in. Better than wearing the tree saddle in IMO
