Hey guys I just picked up 7 beat up delta mckenzies. Over all I’d say they have about 1/2 life left and for a good price they’ll be perfect for a back yard range.
Any how, I know how to fix the blow out spots with foam and what not, there are a 100 posts/ videos on how to do that.
What I am looking for is any ideas on repair the joints that are broken that hold heads and butts on etc. I hear people still saying spray foam but I’d like to repair it in a way where it can still be torn down.

I was considering using stiffer rubber hose and drill a long deep hole in the target and use the rubber hose as a “big nail”. That way if and when an arrow hits the hose it doesn’t hurt anything . I don’t really know but I’m sure you guys have had to make this repair before so looking for ideas !!

Thanks!

My first thought is 1/4" or larger soft wood dowel rod. My Glendel full rut uses wood dowel much larger than that to hold vitals in place pull one pin and back hinges open to rotate for different shot angles.
