Looking for public land bow hanger ideas

I have been using a spare steppladder step with a generic bow hook this year. Seems to work pretty well.

I like the looks of that Cam-it bow hanger but can't find a place to buy it. Does anyone know where to buy one?

IMG_1190.JPG Made one this afternoon after church. Seems to work good. Just a six inch peg for a pegboard with the hooks folded back over paracord on a nite eyes clip with camlock

I guess it doesn't really cam lock. It's like a mini rope man with clip built in. Google nite ize cam jam.

I gotcha so you tie in the clip part and just tighten through the cam cleat

I tied a loop in one end and hook into it. If you use the camjam add a half hitch. Without the half hitch it's pretty easy to just pull the cord out of the teeth and whatever it's holding goes crashing down.

I borrowed some 1/2" webbing and the small cam buckle that was attached to it from a tree in my yard when I was stationed at MacDill in Tampa. My logic was that all trees should lean a little anyhow, right?

Bought some small hooks from WalMart and sewed them to a length of nylon webbing to ride on the strap.
This strap has 4 hooks and packs to about a half the size of a pack of smokes.

I'm doing something similar, Scott. My 1" strap with cam buckle is re-purposed from a plastic ameristep (step removed). It's heavier duty than necessary but I already have it. Plus I'm adding a few of the Nite Ize S-Biners to also hang my pack, quiver, binos, etc. Still haven't quite decided what I will use on the strap to support my recurve bow. I'm leaning more towards some sort of a straight peg, rather than a hook. Work in progress...

I took the end off of a bungee strap. The hook is coiled so I forced a length of pars cord through it. Tied a loop on one end and slid the other end of the loop and cinch it to the tree the tie it off with a timber hitch

This is what I use. A screw in bow hanger tapped to an ameristep.

I like the cam it bow holder. Any idea what it weighs?

For those using the qlipter how do you keep it from swiveling and how far off the tree is your bow while hanging on it. It looks very compact. I just don't like my bow rubbing on the tree in the wind all day and with my single pin slider site you can't adjust yardage without taking the bow off of the hook. Less movement if you can range and adjust site without holding the bow.

Thank you everyone for the replies and ideas.

I haven't had any issues with the bow rubbing on the tree. It does rest against the tree though. As far as adjusting your site with the bow still on the hook, yeah you probably couldnt do that.
