Lord have mercy on me!

Thanks for all the info…I’m truly glad to have found this community. Ok - changing topic slightly. What boots do y’all prefer - rubber boots or boots. I’ve got a pair of Schnee’s I bought last year for my son’s elk hunt. I’d like to use them if possible because I feel like I don’t have full control of my feet in rubber boots. Yes - they fit - but, it is a larger area in the footwear department. What’s y’all’s take on footwear. I know the argument for smell and leaving a scent trail.

Danner hunting boots have always been my first choice. I do have LaCrosse rubber boots, which I really like. However, I prefer not to climb trees in rubber boots because I don't feel like the footing is secure enough for my personal liking. Also, rubber boots don't breathe nearly as well as a good hunting boot in my opinion, if they even breathe at all.
