Lumenok Difficulty

Sure does, I like the nocturnals a lot. Never failed me yet and they’re easy to turn off after the shot with the tip of a knife. The button is between the fingers of the nock so once you shoot it depresses, the just use a point to slide it back towards the rear to turn off.

Oh. I misread that. I thought you were using Lumenoks. I used nocturnals the on my first ever batch of arrows. The only thing I don't like is that you can't replace the battery, or so I'm told.

Yeah I believe your right. Don’t want to hijack OPs thread but you know of any that do have replaceable batteries? I haven’t researched.

Firenock

Replaceable batteries, multitude of options, target nocks (light automatically turns off after a certain amount of time, great for the range) and weighted inserts so you can equip all your arrows with same weight. Only downside is that they are a more expensive initial outlay of $. But for me, all I am doing now is buying batteries. My Firenock’s are still going strong.

I kind of gave up on lighted nocks. Have tried a few different brands. Most of them were inconsistent with arrow fit, nock fit, and some were a pain to turn off or on. Honestly probably the best ones were Chinese ones that I got on eBay.

Well i'm eating crow. I have been shooing my bow in the backyard recently, knocking the rust off, and getting used to my Silverback release. Inadvertently lost a couple of arrows. We have an an acre lot that is mostly grass. So i'm not hopeful on finding them. So I dug out my lighted nocks and I installed some back on a few of my arrows. Had to use some Scotch tape to snug up a few of them. But hopefully this will make it easier to find my arrows if I miss my mark. It'll be a bonus if I find the others somehow before the lawnmower does.

Haha! I lost two arrows this week. One for wind and one because I accidentally used my 20yd pin at 40 yards on my first shot of the day. Couldn't find them and I know where they landed. So I am scheduled to rent a metal detector tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Yeah the last second gust of wind has cost me a few arrows. Have also used the wrong pin. I actually bought a metal detector from Harbor Freight a couple of years ago. Maybe I'll give that a shot. In your case, with FMJs, it's probably easier than with carbon shafts. The plus side is I think I have my sight dialed in and I'm getting more used to the Silverback.
