lw custom gear sticks

I can say that I was looking for an ultralight system. I was going to get on the LWCG bandwagon but I;ve always found it better in life to not be an early adopter. Wait and see what the reviews are. Then call the ball.

I can say that the early adopters of LWCG and their feedback helped me make a decision. I passed ontheLWCG sticks and stand and ordered a Saddle! Got the Predator platform and the Kestrel Flex.

I have an 8.5 pound Assault 1 (old school one) and that will fulfill my stand needs until The Beast stand is out on the market. I was eyeballing the beast sticks, but I'm a short dude and the stride seems really long for me.

I’m a short dude as well (5’7”) but have no problems with a 22” step. I set my helium’s at 20” step when I cut them down, but the extra 2” isn’t a bad stretch.

I think just about everyone is shocked how easy a 22” step is when you actually try it. Free stepping is a big difference compared to grabbing a tree for leverage as you climb. I’m 5’10” and honestly I would like my Beast sticks to be 2-3” longer.

I just cancelled my LWCG stick order, I hope the Beast sticks are available for this hunting season.

Oof I felt partly responsible for that but dang id hate for you to spend the money when there are REALLY good products already on the market.

I played with these a bit more tonight and finally put my grommets in... there is no way the sticks will stay togethor walking through the woods using only the grommets. In my opinion, a bungee/gear tie is still needed... not that big of a deal to me. However, I do feel like they made it sound like the grommets were going to be more effective than they are.
Definatley can't beat how they nest in an under 4in profile. They should carry relatively quiet.
I have no issues with any sharpness/roughness.
They are my shortest mini sticks, but I will make up distance with a movable aider.
They will get some use for me in certain situations.
Just more initial thoughts.

I don't own Beast sticks, but do have 1in sq 1/8w sticks with holes and I love them too.
I guess you could say I'm obsessed with climbing sticks. I hunt at home often and can leave them up in spots in may hit a couple/few times.

I'm shorter than that my friend. I'm 5'4"....... when I'm wearing boots.

Bumping this thread for a positive review. I really like the sticks. I add a fixed single loop aider to the each stick and 4 get me to where I wanna be. The grommets work really well at helping the sticks stack nicely and quietly. They don’t hold the sticks completely together themselves, nor do I think they are meant to. They sticks are pretty quiet without adding stealth strips or anything. I use the versa straps with them but tie the rope method knot instead of using the loop and it works well for me. There are some moving parts so only time will tell how well these hold up but so far so good for me. I use these with the stand and without, they do pack REALLY well with the stand. I could care less about some water jet marks, doesn’t affect the functionality. I like the standoffs and there is plenty of room on the steps. I’ve heard mention of getting two feet on the top step because it’s flat with the post but there’s not enough room for that if you ask me. So if you hate the single steps these aren’t for you, although they are more comfortable than the smaller lone wolf single steps IMO. Another compromise for the pack ability is there is a little added time and fiddle to turn the standoffs, not much but might bother some. Anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents for others considering the sticks without making this about one stick or another. Was kinda surprised to see so much negative about them so quickly.

Yea, I had the full length sticks and really liked them. I did sell them tho because they were shorter and just a little heavier than the regular lone wolfs. I used four regular lone wolfs and the assault and got a good buck. Set up right next to his bedding area. Cut limbs, made a little metal on metal noise48B1FE5E-E275-4505-A367-3890052E3FD5.png
