LW Stick Cam Cleat Mod

Gonna be trying this Cam Cleat Mod on a cut down LW stick. Haven't decided on length yet..

I installed this same cleat on my Beast stick. It has been flawless. I use 8mm static rope. Fastest way to secure a stick. I find it to be safe and efficient.

Lone wolf stick are no different. Remove button, install cam. Length is a personal preference. Some people prefer a single long 3 step stick while others prefer sticks as small at 10”.

Nice! So the versa button hole will fit the cam cleat bolt? Same size? Im shooting for like a 16'' to 17'' stick. I want to see if i can make 2 short modded sticks from 1 full length stick.

I installed the cam cleat on a cut down LW stick, but I didnt remove the Versa button. Instead, I installed the cam cleat just above the Button.

Seems to work fine. No issues yet. I use 1/4 amsteel with a brummel eye splice loop for the button (probably overkill, but it works)

Planning on doing the same thing. I think I'm going to cut it down and make an 18" stick and a 14" one and see which I like more. Planning on that very cam cleat and 1/8" full bury Amsteel. Will make a 2 and maybe a 3 step aider out of 7/64 Amsteel and eventually a scout platform for the top. Probably EWO double steps to start on one of the sticks
