LWCG Ambush Platform

It's almost like you're implying that corporations are charging what the market will bear, across the board!?!

I’m arguing that people forget the upside of the very thing they’re complaining about. Which is that it provides them the means to purchase gear at silly prices.

But also, yeh, that thing too.

Soooo. almost twice the size, almost twice the price, and almost 2 pounds heavier......so like a steal, almost.

Their old ones were selling for $500 because there were no other platform on the market and now we have 3 great options (predator, RR, and podium) there are also good DIY options.

This is the same with anything that is bought. Ultimately the consumer can control the price. If no one buys a product the price has to drop. Look at new trucks. The prices are ridiculous but remain high because people keep buying them. If everyone got together on social media and so forth and stood together to protest the prices and quit buying I’d bet within a couple months the prices would drastically drop. As long as we buy they can sell.

This is exactly right. Companies charge what they can. This is capitalism at work fellas.

This is not accurate. I sold my Assassin a few weeks ago for a nice chunk of change.

LWCG is not Lone Wolf. Different company.
The predator is the 2nd most expensive platform on the market, not the cheapest.

Yes, LWCG is not the same as Lone Wolf proper and you're right the Predator is not the cheapest.
A more accurate framing would have been a comparison of a LWCG/LW hang-on to a far inferior hang-on (this assumes the Ambush is as good as the Assassin).

Yes platform in hand does sell at a premium still because of the wait times on all the listed platforms.

Still no. I just sold a Predator and got no where near what the Assassin fetched.

Bottom line, there is a market for larger, higher quality platforms. It may not be for everyone (my assumption is because so few people have actually used the Assassin so are not speaking from experience) but there is a market.

I'm sure LWCG will follow the same model as Lone Wolf with respect to their gear and target market.

Assassins are still selling for $350+ even with those platforms available. I can think of two that just sold for $400 in the past month.

I wonder if people are using them as a platform to just stand on. Not just saddle hunters but also people that use a standard harness. Seems like it would be a good option for a quick 2 or 3 hour hunt.

I would say the predator, RR and podium are in the same class with material and craftsmanship. Personal opinion but I am not drinking the Kool aid from the LWCG like a lot do.

Have you actually used an Assassin because it's hard for me to imagine any human saying that its material and craftsmanship is on the same level as a Predator.
I'm usually a guy that tries to find a good deal, but when there is such a disparity in products, I gotta bite the bullet.
Remember, buy once cry once (advice I don't always follow)
